Monday: 8/24/09
Science- tsw demonstrate how scientific knowledge is gained and modified. TT and TSW model and observe a shoe activitiy.
Lang.-dol sent.-correcting sentences, Create environment for talk by doing a "I know.." writing activity.
Tuesday: 8/25/09
Science- TSW continue the shoe activity and summerize and show data from activity. Tsw classify/sort buttons and other items in bags.
Lang-Dol sent.-correcting sentences, TSW finish creating their writing "I know..." TTW model how they will pick one sentence from their I know to create a short write.
Wednesday: 8/26/09
Science- TSW demonstrate the process skill inferrence. TSW and TTW observe a chart to build background knowledge.
Lang-dol sent-correcting sentences, tsw use a graphic organizer to prewrite for a personal narrative. TSW use info from last week and this week to complet the graphic org.
Thursday: 8/27/09
Science- Tsw demonstrate the process skill infer. TTW discuss process skills and give examples of how we "predict" things. TTW model predicting
Lang-dol sent. and correct them, TSW begin a rough draft of a personal letter using 5 paragraph format. Tsw use a variety of sent. for their letter.
Friday: 8/28/09
Science- TSW use observation skills to inder and predict what has occcured and what will occur. TTW review the previously learned skill
Lang- dol quiz, TSW complete letter for a grade

Lang- TLW create a flip chart of 4 kinds of sentences
Wednesday: 9/9/09
Science-TLW work with a partner measuring liquids using a cylinder
Lang--TTW review 4 kinds of sentences. TLW complete a wksheet over this skill and then go over and discuss.
Thursday: 9/10/09
Science-TTW review with TL over voc.words by playing a game.
Lang-TLW review 4 kinds of sentences by matching up the correct sentence with the correct word
Friday:9/11/09
Science: take a test over voc words
Lang-take a dol test, test over 4 kinds of sentences
Monday: 10/12/09
Lang-TLW organzie thoughts over going to Wal-mart. Starting a writing prompt and going through the writing process
Science-Properties of Matter. TLW list properties and identify them either Chemical or Physical
Tuesday: 10/13/09
Lang-TLW have sticky notes and name items in each department poster around the room. TLW then pick 3 out of all the departments and pick 4 items from each
Science-TLW do an inside/outside partner activity over properties of matter. TLW have to tell their partner what/why of each property.
Wednesday: 10/14/09
Lang-TLW fill out graphic organizer and create their topic sentence.
Science- TLW determine if the property of what is being said is either a chemical or physical
Thursday: 10/15/09
Lang- TLW finish completing graphic organizer and going into rough draft stage of the writing process.
Science- TLW read pages and dicuss with their table and then answer ?'s over chemical and physical properties
Friday- 10/16/09
Lang-TLW test over dol sentences. After that TLW finsih their writing prompt and move towards revise/edit stage
Science-TLW view a video over chemical/physical properties
Monday 11/16
Lang- TLW finsih revise/edit and start final copy in writing prompt. TLw correct sentences, dol.
Science- TTW review with students over force, then give them a test
Tuesday 11/17
Lang- TLW create a story lead -topic/conclusion paragraph over several writing prompts
Science- TLW read and discuss gravity and motion and take notes.
Wednesday 11/18
Lang- TLW create a more stronger lead-topic/conclusion paragraph over several writing prompts
Science- TLW do a lab over gravity/motion
Thursday 11/19
Lang- TLW create a flip chart over figurative language
Science-TLW discuss and read notes from pg 20-21 and complete worksheet
Friday- 11/20
Lang TLW take a test over dol sentences and do some fun activities over figurative languge using their flip chart.
Science-TT and TLW read and discuss a passage over gravity and motion, then TLW take a short quiz over what they have learned and read.
